Range Instrumentation System Controller (RISCon)
Riptide is a critical subcontractor to General Dynamics on the Range Instrumentation Systems Controller. RISCon is capable of monitoring real-time Live, Virtual, and Constructive simulation exercises for the purposes of exercise control, data collection, analysis, and review. Riptide provides Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) for Marine Corps Range Instrumentation Control systems. RISCon was developed to streamline control of all instrumentation systems through a single controller interface. Data is collected while monitoring, controlling, and recording the force-on-force or force-on-target engagements that occur in the battlefield environment. The purpose of this training system is to significantly enhance the training capability, operational readiness, and tactical proficiency of Marines in tactics, techniques, and procedures in support of both collective task training and exercise events.
