Homestation Instrumentation Training System (HITS)
HITS is the US Army system of record for Homestation Force-on-Force training. Almost a decade ago, PEO STRI recognized the need for a portable, flexible Homestation training solution that would support maneuver training for platoon and up to battalion size units. Riptide was the logical choice (prime contractor) for developing the HITS Proof of Principle (PoP) given our history as a developer of LT2 Components. By integrating future and legacy tactical engagement simulation, HITS provides position location and weapons effects data for real-time exercise monitoring and AAR. HITS is part of the Live Training Transformation–Family of Training Systems (LT2-FTS) and is based on the Common Training Instrumentation Architecture (CTIA). Currently, with over 15 deployments worldwide, HITS is the "L" in the US Army's Live – Virtual – Constructive solution.
